Listen to your draft while you review

Updated

Listening gives you another way to inspect a draft. Use it to notice repeated words, long sentences, or transitions you want to read again.

Start playback

Open your document’s Review tab and choose Read Aloud. In Voice settings, select a voice, then start listening. Audio generation uses your available credits; the app shows account or service errors when playback cannot begin.

The player stays available while you review. Use Pause, resume playback, or move the playback position. Stop ends the current session.

Adjust the pace

Use Playback speed to choose a rate from 0.5× to 2×. The speed setting changes the existing audio locally, so changing it does not generate new audio or use more credits.

Slow down for a dense paragraph, or listen at a comfortable speaking pace for a script. BlueTip remembers your speed preference in that browser. Voice and speed are separate choices.

Listen with one question in mind

A focused pass is easier to act on. Try one of these:

  • Does a sentence ask the reader to hold too many ideas at once?
  • Do neighboring sentences repeat a word or point unintentionally?
  • Is a transition missing between paragraphs?
  • Does the rhythm suit the writing style and intended reader?

Pause when you notice a passage worth checking. Read it in context before changing it. A synthesized voice may pronounce a name or punctuation differently from the way you intend it to sound.

Review changes and replay

Use Replay to listen to the audio already prepared during the current session. Replaying that audio uses no new generation request. After editing, generate audio for the updated draft so you hear the new wording.

If audio cannot be prepared, use the player’s retry action. Your written draft stays available. You can continue with another review tool while the service recovers.

When you finish, return to the text to check facts, meaning, and formatting before exporting your draft.
